Biography
Susan is a Ugandan mother of two and an international public health expert. She is passionate about justice, fairness, equality, leadership, human dignity and opportunities for young people, particularly girls and young women.
Born in Kampala in 1972, Susan was a refugee by the age of 5, an experience that was crucial in influencing her views of the world and leadership. She spent her early years in Uganda, the United Kingdom and Kenya.
She later attended the Lester B Pearson United World College of the Pacific in Canada then attended the university of Pennsylvania. She earned her Masters Degree in Public Health from Boston University (International Health) and her Doctorate in Public Health (Epidemiology and Population Health) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
