Jerry Sesanga is a renowned Ugandan writer, filmmaker, and journalist, known for his fervent advocacy for human rights, particularly gender equality and access to essential services for youth. With a background in social communication from the University of St. Lawrence, Sesanga’s impactful work has transcended borders, sparking conversations and inspiring change globally.
As a prolific author, Sesanga has penned twelve books, including the widely acclaimed The Wasted Beauty, which delves into poignant narratives surrounding societal issues. His literary prowess has garnered widespread recognition, with over 30,000 copies of his
works sold to date. Sesanga’s commitment to advocacy extends beyond the written word. He is the visionary behind ULLYWOOD, a platform harnessing the power of film to shed light on pressing social issues. Notably, his short film The Baby Bride serves as a poignant call to action against child marriage, showcasing his dedication to effecting positive change through art.
